Bringing Home our Baby
Well what a New Year's adventure this was. We had been looking for a girl boxer for a while but couldn't find one. I saw an ad for a red boxer girl .. just what we were looking for! There was only one problem - she was in Orange, NSW. With just a little gentle persuasion, Tys and I packed the car and headed south.
After what seemed like forever, we reached the small suburb of Molong which is just outside Orange. I remember pulling up out the front and being very excited to see our little girl. When we saw her we were both instantly in love.. and couldn't wait to take her home. But home was a long way away, but luckily we had friends staying in Orange, so we had a bed for the night.
The next day, via a detour to Bathurst, we made the long way back home. We learned very early on that whenever Zoey woke up, stop the car! Two accidents on the back seat was more than enough! She did sleep most of the time and once she fell asleep in the cutest place...
After a whirlwind weekend and over 2000km driven, we made it home with our gorgeous new family member.
